NOTE:

The Role:
Directs and supervises Company and contract construction crews in the construction and maintenance of the pipeline system and oversees other field activities.
Day to Day:
- Supervises, performs quality assurance inspections and evaluates field operations, construction personnel in the performance of their assigned tasks and job functions including Operator Qualification procedures as applicable.
- Responds to a variety of inquiries/concerns initiated by customers, Company personnel or the general public; resolves problems by coordinating necessary resources.
- Promotes, implements, and monitors safe work practices and conducts safety meetings for appropriate staff.
- Responds to and evaluates emergency situations, analyzing required action and directing appropriate response; maintains proper emergency response procedure.
- Pre-checks construction jobs to analyze need; recommends field design changes as necessary.
- Coordinates work methods in accordance with Company and regulatory standards; participates in developing changes in standard construction practices or other methods of construction.
- Meets code and inspection requirements for numerous city, state, county, and federal jurisdictions.
- Builds and maintains favorable working relationships with other utilities, governmental agencies, contractors, fire officials, and equipment installers/dealers; promotes locate requests and Company notification of pending work with these agencies.
- Coordinates with internal departments including Codes & Compliance, Customer Acquisition, Rates/Regulatory, Gas Supply, Field Operations, Resource Management and others to ensure engineering standards are followed and to assist in daily support operations as necessary.
- Serves as the liaison to Customer Acquisition department to provide solutions to issues that impact customer growth.
- Responds to customer/public inquiries, translates customer needs into service goals, communicating information to work teams for implementation.
- Develops staffing needs and participates in employee selection processes.
- Analyzing costs/benefits; continuously evaluates cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities. Implements corporate vision and strategy into team goals and priorities, measuring and evaluating results at direction of Construction Manager.
- Manages, facilitates, and evaluates team development, work processes and technical expertise, technical job knowledge and personal skill development.
- Demonstrates appropriate leadership and decision-making behaviors; maintains technical job knowledge and personal skill development.
- Develops, trains, and mentors individual and team members with documentation and ongoing performance feedback; recognizes accomplishments and provides cross-training opportunities.
- Supports Company’s commitment to a culture of safe work practices.
- Participate as a subject matter expert for external audit preparation, data gathering in order to demonstrate compliance.
- Adheres to and promotes the philosophies and directives of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Come on your first day with:
- Minimum of 7 years of current experience in gas field operations (includes a minimum of 3 years in leadership role) and/or technical equipment training, training or quality assurance) or equivalent of experience/education.
- Knowledge and practical application of Field Construction & Maintenance Manual, knowledge of emergency response procedures, Collective Bargaining Agreement, Construction Standards for municipalities, Federal
- Pipeline Safety Rules, OHSA Regulations, and Operator Qualifications.
- Ability to access and use computer technology and Company software.
- Verbal communication skills, including the ability to apply group facilitation techniques and make group presentations.
- Written communication skills, including technical documentation and report writing abilities.
- Demonstrated skill and ability in delegating and coordinating employee activities consistent with Company strategy to balance customer satisfaction with shareholder value.
- Personal availability to respond immediately to emergency situations and staffing requirements.
- Skill and commitment to coach and develop employees.
- Ability and commitment to continue to develop personal skills and technical knowledge.

Base salary range: $110,250.00 - $157,100.00 per year, depending on qualifications
Annual Target Incentive: Supervisor, 12.0% target
Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% – 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years. Must be employed by September 30 in order to receive any prorated payout.
