The Role:

As an Engineering Consultant, you will play a key role in building important professional relationships that will strengthen our company. You will be a primary liaison and represent NW Natural interests on codes and standards boards, advisory councils, energy-related agencies and industry associations. As you develop a better understanding of the processes, you will perform an important function in driving sensible energy efficiency standards that help the region achieve its goals while ensuring the interests of stakeholders.

You will collaborate with a team on evaluation, analysis, and strategic advancement of both pre commercial and early adoption natural gas technologies. You will be involved in driving research, producing technical analysis, deployment planning, and market adoption of innovative equipment and solutions.

Additionally, you will play an important role in advising developers, builders, architects and engineering peers in bringing gas service to both existing and new projects. You will be backed by the support of NW Natural leaders from various disciplines as you assist external partners in developing natural gas infrastructure, metering and equipment solutions for projects. A strong focus of your work will be to support the continuation of the appropriate inclusion of natural gas in multifamily developments.

Your work will bring you into frequent interaction with leaders in both our company and the energy industry.
