The Role:
The Computer Imaging and Asset Control Technician is responsible for managing the lifecycle of end-user computing devices, including imaging, deployment, and asset tracking. This role ensures that all hardware meets organizational standards and is properly configured for business use. In addition to imaging and asset control duties, the technician provides onsite deskside support to resolve hardware and software issues promptly.

Day to Day:
Computer Imaging & Deployment
- Image new computers using approved tools and processes (SCCM, AutoPilot, InTune).
- Reimage reclaimed computers and ensure data is securely wiped.
- Maintain a stock of ready-to-deploy devices to meet business needs.
Asset Control & Inventory Management
- Attach asset tags and record details in the asset management system.
- Update inventory records for new and reclaimed devices.
- Track hardware throughout its lifecycle, including deployment, repair, and retirement.
Hardware Lifecycle Tasks
- Perform end-to-end hardware lifecycle management, including:
- Procurement Support: Assist with receiving and tagging new hardware.
- Deployment: Configure and deliver devices to end-users.
- Maintenance: Coordinate repairs and warranty claims.
- Reclamation: Securely wipe and reimage returned devices for reuse.
- Retirement & Disposal: Follow approved processes for decommissioning and environmentally responsible disposal of hardware.
Onsite Deskside Support
- Provide hands-on support for hardware and software issues at user desks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to imaging, connectivity, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with hardware moves, setups, and configuration changes.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all imaging and asset control processes comply with IT security standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures and asset records.
Come on your first day with:
- CompTIA A+ or associate degree or equivalent with 2 years working in an Intune IT environment.
- Proficient understanding of SCCM groups, Microsoft InTune, and AutoPilot deployments.
- Experience with image deployment tools and asset management systems.
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and deskside support best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Conditions:
- This role requires you to be on-site at our Portland, Oregon Headquarters location Monday-Friday.
- Must be able to lift and move computer equipment as needed.

Base salary range: $64,250.00 - $86,350.00 per year, depending on qualifications
Annual Target Incentive: Grade 16, 7.5% target
Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% – 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years. Must be employed by September 30 in order to receive any prorated payout.
